Rein helps you track and organize your receipts effortlessly, starting right at checkout. This policy outlines what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

  • Name, email address, and authentication details when you create an account
  • Login credentials via secure sign-in methods (e.g., OAuth)

b. Receipt & Transaction Data

  • Order confirmation pages captured through the Rein Chrome extension
  • Structured receipt details such as merchant name, total amount, date, and itemized list
  • Partial payment references (e.g., masked card digits) for your personal recordkeeping

c. Device & Usage Data

  • Device type, operating system, and general usage metrics
  • Log events to help improve performance and resolve technical issues

We do not collect sensitive financial information like full card numbers or passwords.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Deliver receipt capture, storage, and viewing features
  • Help you find and organize receipts by date, merchant, or category
  • Send helpful notifications (e.g., "Receipt saved successfully")
  • Prevent abuse and ensure account security

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We only use it to support your use of the app and extension.

Receipt content captured by the extension is securely processed using intelligent extraction techniques (e.g., AI/ML) to convert it into structured data. This processing occurs only for receipts you explicitly capture.

  • View Receipts: You can view all saved receipts in the mobile app.
  • Delete Receipts: Currently, deletion is only available through the browser extension.
  • Manage Notifications: You may control system notifications via your device settings.
  • Disconnect Accounts: You may revoke connected services (e.g., Gmail, if enabled in future) from within Settings.

8. Children’s Privacy

Rein is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will notify you through the app or website. Major updates will be clearly communicated so you can review them.
