Q01. What does rein do?
rein keeps every receipt in one place. Add a receipt and it reads the merchant, date, line items, and totals, then files it by category — no manual data entry.

Q03. How do receipts get into rein?
- Photograph paper receipts in the mobile app.
- Drag, drop, or paste (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V) images and PDFs on the web.
- One click in the Chrome extension while you shop online.
- Forward order confirmation emails to your private rein address.
Q04. How does email forwarding work?
- rein gives you a private email address — find it in the app under Account → Email Receipt Capture.
- Open an order email, hit Forward, paste your rein address, send. The receipt is read and filed.
- To make it easier, set up auto-forwarding: one inbox filter and receipts forward themselves.
- rein receives only what you forward — it never connects to your inbox.
Q05. Does rein connect to my bank?
No. rein works on the receipts and data you upload — no bank login, no account linking, no transaction feed. A bank statement says GROCERY $84.27; your receipt says which 14 items at what prices. rein keeps the version with the answers.
Q06. Can I search my receipts?
- Search filters by merchant, category, date, or amount — and looks inside line items, so you find the thing, not just the store.
- Ask takes a typed question — "how much did I spend on groceries last month?" — and answers from your own receipts, showing the receipts behind the number.
Q07. What happens with a blurry or partial receipt?
rein makes its best effort on every receipt. Anything it could not read confidently lands in Review for a quick fix or retake, and every field on a receipt stays editable.
Q08. Do foreign-currency receipts work?
Yes. Eleven currencies are supported today — USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, INR, AUD, JPY, MXN, CNY, SGD, and CHF. Each receipt keeps its original currency, and totals convert to your home currency so they stay comparable.
Q09. Is my data private?
Your receipts are visible only to your account — storage and queries are scoped to you. Sign in with email, Google, or Apple, and delete your account and all its data at any time.
Q10. What data does rein store?
Your login email, the receipts you add, and the details rein reads from them. Encrypted, only yours, never sold, never used to train AI — ours or our providers'. Delete your account and everything goes with it. And as rein grows, every new feature asks for consent first — nothing runs without your agreement.
Q11. Can rein read my email?
No — by design. rein never connects to your inbox. The only email it ever sees is what you, or the auto-forward filter you set up, send to your private rein address.

Q13. How do I delete my account?
One confirmation from your account page, on web or mobile — no email, no support ticket. Deleting permanently removes every receipt, uploaded file, transaction, and search history along with your login, and cannot be undone.
